In the beginning of the 1960s, the first plastic edible oil bottles were put on to the market in France. This new type of packaging gave many advantages over the traditional way of packaging which was then returnable glass bottles: weight, space savings. No washing. It took off quickly and soon, totally replaced returnable glass bottles.
Therefore the DORLYL company was one of the first compounders in the world to elaborate PVC formulations suitable for oil packaging and has gained considerable experience in this field over the years.
PVC bottles offer efficient resistance to UV and low permeability to oxygen, moisture and oil which permits a good oil conservation.
